What’s a Glider Paper Airplane?
for Easy Paper Airplanes
On this Web site, you'll find descriptions for a number of Glider paper airplanes. Gliders are designed and built for long, slow movement and big ol' turns. If you've done your homework and good folding, a great glider will probably not land until it has hit something.
Most Gliders are for crossing rooms. Some are for higher more lofty flights. The room-crossers are best flown with a smooth even launch. So to do that, you push gently, not throw it hard. A good rule of thumb is: launch a Glider paper airplane at the same angle and speed it would go if it were already flying.
The high flyers begin with a launch similar to a rocket launch. You throw it straight up, as if you were going to put that airplane up on the moon.
Unlike a Stunt plane, most Gliders are for crossing rooms. Some are for higher, more lofty flights. The room-crossers are best flown with a smooth, even launch. So, to do that, you need to push it gently, not throw it hard. A good rule of thumb is: launch a glider at the same angle and speed it would go if it were already flying.
